Additional Offerings
High School Programs
UCCS offers several High School programs designed to help high school students earn college credits while still in high school. These programs include:
Dual Enrollment Program: This program allows high school students to take UCCS courses for both high school and college credit. Students can take up to two courses per semester and must meet specific eligibility criteria to participate.
Pre-Collegiate Development Program: This program is designed for high school students who may not meet the initial eligibility requirements for dual enrollment. The program provides additional support and resources to help students improve their academic skills and become eligible for dual enrollment.
Summer Session: UCCS offers several summer courses for high school students who want to earn college credits during the summer break. These courses are open to all high school students who meet the eligibility requirements.
By participating in these programs, high school students can earn college credits that can be transferred to other colleges and universities, including UCCS. This can help students save time and money by completing college courses before graduating from high school. Additionally, these programs provide students with the opportunity to experience college-level coursework and prepare for the academic rigors of higher education.
Interested students should contact their high school counselor or visit the UCCS Outreach website for more information on eligibility requirements and application procedures.
