Wellness Center Operations

The Wellness Center will return to campus starting August 10, 2020. We will be offering in-person appointments and will continue to offer remote telehealth appointments for Health and Mental Health for students that live in Colorado. Please call 719-255-4444 to schedule an appointment. DO NOT WALK IN TO THE WELLNESS CENTER IF YOU HAVE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING SYMPTOMS: fever, shortness of breath, cough, muscle aches, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, runny nose, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting.

  • If you are having a medical or mental health emergency, call 9-1-1 or go to an emergency room as we are unable to attend to emergencies.   • For those students seeking a telehealth appointment, you will need to download the Microsoft Teams app on your phone or computer and have access to audio and/or video capabilities. If you need assistance downloading Microsoft Teams app on your smart phone or computer, please contact UCCS OIT at 719-255-3536.
  • Telehealth visits will remain $20. Your credit or debit card payment will be collected through a Teams call with one of our staff on the day of your appointment. 
  • In person visits will remain $20 and payment via credit or debit card will be collected at the time of your visit.
  • All patients/clients being seen in the Wellness Center will be required to do the daily health screening prior to their appointment and MUST wear face coverings throughout their time in the building.
  • Do not arrive more than 15 minutes prior to your appointment as waiting room capacity is limited due to social distancing guidelines.
  • Please refrain from bringing visitors to your appointment unless they are involved in your care.

Health Appointments:

  • The Wellness Center will have in-person appointments for students that are not experiencing illness symptoms (fever, shortness of breath, cough, muscle aches, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, runny nose, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting). Examples include: physicals, Well Woman Exam, Well Male Exam, urinary tract infection, sexually transmitted infection, birth control consult, skin rash, and more.
  • If you would like to schedule an appointment please call the Wellness Center at 719-255-4444.
  • COVID testing is available following telehealth screening appointments if needed.


  • If you need a refill, please call your pharmacy to request a refill. They will send us an electronic refill request. If your pharmacy is unable to send us an electronic refill request, please call 719-255-4444 or log into the Wellness Center portal at uccs.medicatconnect.com to send a message requesting to have your medication refilled.

Mental Health Appointments:

  • If you would like to schedule an appointment, please call 719-255-4444.
  • Mental Health Clinicians are available in person for emergency/crisis sessions Monday – Friday 8:00 – 5:00. If you are trying to get help for a crisis or an emergency outside of office hours, call 9-1-1 or go to your nearest emergency room.
  • All other routine counseling appointments will be done via telehealth.
  • Group therapy will be conducted via telehealth appointments.

Nutrition Appointments:

  • Nutritional Counseling will be available via telehealth.

Massage Therapy and Chiropractic Appointments:  

  • Massage therapy can be scheduled by calling Gina Nelson at 719-360-1721.
  • Chiropractic appointments can be schedule by calling Dr. Laketia Johnson at 719-232-1193 or by visiting 42klickschiropractic.com.
